I enjoyed the time period and the subject matter the movie covered. The rise of Christian fanaticism and the loss of appreciation for science/philosophy.

I think the movie does a good job at inciting frustration amongst the audience on the pointlessness of the religious conflicts between the Pagans, Jews, and Christians while having us appreciate the scientific curiosity that was being lost and portrayed by the movie through Hypatia.

Easily one of the most disappointing films I have ever seen. After finishing season two, a prequel was not something I wanted.

I thought the movie was well paced, acting was superb. I love the plot and the mysteriousness of the monster. It’s always so much better when the monster is vague and has no form or shape.

All in all great film, I enjoyed it!

I know some have brought up that the romance/chemistry between Korben and Lelu wasn’t good; and my response to that is,”who cares”. Their romance was not a plot driver and could easily be ignored for the the better aspects of the movie.

I also want to mention that again, not many…
