Patlabor 2: The Movie 1993
going from the OVA to this was kind of wild, not just tonally but also kind of noticing a few ways this film feels like a more in-depth remake of The SV2's Longest Day, I think I prefer the first film just a bit more since I found some moments in this that drag a bit or just felt a tad stiff, but also there are several incredible sequences in this where a lot of what Oshi utilizes to near perfection in Ghost in the Shell, mainly atmosphere and themes, seem to be forming here

The Devil and Father Amorth 2017
was kind of nostalgic at first, reminded me of those really dumb History Channel specials that I'd stumble on as a kid about supposed exorcisms but it doesn't stop this from having 30% where absolutely nothing happens. I can't tell if that's just how he looks but everytime Friedkin was on camera he would always give a look to the lens like this was just a massive bit and the further it went the more I was convinced of that. Friedkin ultimate prankster or secretly Garth Marenghi, you decide.
