Fabian’s review published on Letterboxd:
An intense and moody film with an intoxicating mystery at its center. Bong Joon-ho's usage of the cinematography and the score to capture a certain atmosphere is already masterful in this second feature film, and a true showcase of his abilities as a director.
Song Kang-ho's performance definitely elevates this profound and precise film to an entirely different level of quality. I liked some of his subsequent films even more, but Memories of Murder shows a great director at his very best.
