A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge

A pretty average entry to the franchise. The opening and closing bus scenes are quite memorable. There's some ok special efffects... But I just feel the creativity and edge of the first is missing here.
It's incredibly watchable and it's entertaining.... Just nowhere near as good.
The whole Freddie only gets you when you fall asleep has gone out of the window somewhat ruining what the first film achieved and it's biggest appeal to me. Let's hope it gets better from here on in...

Pretty damn terrible movie, with cringe worthy music and performances. How the hell did Freddie and The Dreamers ever make it?? And that first song sequence.... You would never get away with that nowadays!
But still there's a few Joe Meek connections here which was main reason for watching. And I do always enjoy seeing anything 1960s on film. It was such an innocent and fun time (well that's the impression I get).
What went wrong with the world??

Flushing a fetus down the toilet... That's pretty crazy and of course never a good idea. The effects of the transformation in the sewer were way better than expected and great fun.
The first death scene is pretty crazy, and gory. It's a shame this standard did not continue for the rest…

    Let's Scare Jessica to Death

I was immediately hooked from the get go here. There's quite an atmosphere going on, and some awesome music which really helps that. But then there is some other music which is quite crappy.... But it doesn't spoil anything. At one point I thought it wasn't going to add up to much as it is quite steadily paced, but the last half an hour delivered with some great moments. My biggest criticism and something I never really say, is that…
