Gotta admit my expectations were kinda high. Welp, Train to Busan ain't ez to top. Really loved how charming some of the characters are but I guess Peninsula simply failed to utilize dem designs compellingly. They wildly went vroom vroom hahah

Okay before I forget (though I think I never will), I just wanna point out the two close up shots that definitely captivated my whole being while watching Train to Busan:
1. The father’s smile while reminiscing the birth of his daughter; and
2. The girl and her tears after singing THE song.
These two scenes are the saving grace of Train to Busan from being just another one of “oh-so-typical films with the zombie thingy”.

Breathtaking performances by Rooney Mara and Cate Blanchett - their eyes, the silences, subtle touches, breaths, everything - is just marvelous. Every mise-en-scene tells a story that no words could ever describe or tell otherwise. Yeah, my thoughts are scattered everywhere cause I don't know how to tell the flawlessness of this romance.
Dannie: The only thing you really know is you either are attracted or you're not. It's like physics, bouncing of each other like pinballs.
Therese: Yeah, but not everything's as simple as a bunch of pinballs reacting off of each other.
