Johnny Barrett’s review published on Letterboxd:
A very very simple story told with near perfect pacing and tonal shifts. Everyone's acting is serviceable but believeable, with the effects work and direction taking the lead. I really appreciated that McTiernan understood the importance of silence in a movie like this, as lots of moments are waiting to see something happen. The cloaking tunnel effect still looks really neat and the hinted lore in this movie (ignoring all others) is always fun to see. Nothing life-changing or even one of my favorite movies, but crisply executed and refined.
