An underrated sequel. Kind of verges into being so bad its good. The last act is essentially a long chase scene. Gary Busey gets decapitated by a predator frisbee in one of the weirdest shot death scenes I've ever seen. Bill Paxton is out of control. Robert Davi is angry police chief guy. It's just a big 80s mess. And I love it.

Predator 1987
Great action movie. Great original score by Alan Silvestri. The Arnold-Carl Weathers handshake in the opening scene is pure 80s machismo. One of the better movies from Arnie's heyday and a great action classic in the vein of The Thing meets Die Hard. It can be a little cheesy at times, but this is always entertaining and fun. Is it a classic? I don't know. Probably not. But it's up there. When I was a kid my dad would cover my eyes during the Carl Weathers death scene, which I don't get because if anything it's more funny than it is scary.

One of the worst most pointless sequels I've ever seen. Neve Campbell took the paycheck and ran. She seems completely indifferent (and I don't blame her). I know it's not a popular take but I like some of Woody's movies. I just do. Cate Blanchett mumbling to herself on the street in midst of a nervous breakdown is where i'm inevitably headed if the current course fails to correct itself. The Dice Man is great. So are Bobby Carnavale's wardrobe choices. I don't know. I like this one.
