New short film:
First theater experience since February 2020!
Got a lot of mixed feelings on this one, but I had so much fun that I'm willing to look past the DUMB STUPID IDIOT character choices that occasionally occurred and focus on the good stuff! Because hey, films this quick-paced and enjoyable don't come around every day.
I also just want to echo the sentiment that this is 100% a transitional film rather than a standalone. So don't be shocked if the ending feels a bit... abrupt. Just enjoy the spooky demogorgons and apocalyptic Cillian Murphy!
What a high note to end this trilogy on.
Just astounding directing from Krzysztof Kieślowski. The visual language here is so bold and fascinating to watch. Also, the emotional payoffs towards the ending blew me away. Whatever catharsis I expected from Blue was experienced here.
Arguably my new favorite cinematic universe?
