3rd watch in a week has validated this to be one of my all time faves and gets the 5* treatment.. sorry inception you are out, but at least leo stays within the coveted zone. Could watch everyday it fadcinating how much can be enjoyed from watching so little happen and enjoy the journeys between scenes with dialog - often suggested he uses too much dialog in the past this has shown he can acheive brilliance with less.
A slow build and feels a little unsure of what it even is itself for the first act, then steps up brilliantly, and finishing with a beyond tremendous third & final climatic act being one of the most enjoyable i can remember.
I fear reservoir dogs may be hoisted from its no.1 and 5^ platitude by myself after another watch or 2.
Was just dreamy watching and felt like a true bystander to all that was happening throughout.
A lot of brilliant nods; some subtle some much less so; to his other works too.
Possibly the most visually stunning film ever.. fantastic story not going overboard on the action and detracting from the theme.
Everyone who played a part played it brilliantly.. this may just squeeze its way into my top10all-time.. needs a rewatch (of which am sure there will be a few) to make aure it stands up as it was a long film and noticeably so but not in a bad way..
watch it at the cinema as deserves the scale for…
