Dune: Part Two 2024
Paul riding the sand worm for the 1st time will rank up there as one of my all-time favorite theater experiences ever. So emotional, impactful and appropriately epic. I’ll never forget it. This actually does need to be seen on the biggest screen possible, with D-box seats and the whole shabang.

Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio 2022
I had high expectations going in but this blew me away. The animator in me was so floored by the character animation in this. Best animated movie of 2022 for sure. So perfect and so many little details to appreciate in every single frame.
The musical numbers were meh imo, but otherwise, this is an instant classic with a nice message that will tug at the ol’ heart strings. Great adaptation and stylistically, this truly felt like a Guillermo del Toro film.

Manhunter 1986
Ahead of it’s time for a procedural/psychological crime thriller but the neon, synth soaked 80’s vibes are so palpable, you can practically smell the Aquanet in every frame. Manhunter is at times dated and hammy with it’s heavy handed metaphors and melodrama, and I loved every single minute of it. How fun was that Joan Allen tiger scene?! Mann isn’t afraid to go big but still manages to keep everything grounded and compelling. This movie is also very on brand…
