WINTER "HIGH ART" MARATHON 3.0 #96
Genuinely profound film that only Malick could make, for better or worse. Gorgeously shot, sounds great and the battle scenes are earned and outstanding to take in.
This feels like the other side of the coin for Saving Private Ryan in a really appropriate way. It still has its "Malickisms" that were kinda distracting to me, but overall this is a really exceptional film. Can't believe I saw it on fucking Disney+.
