    Spider-Man: Far from Home

Those “inside the illusion” scenes were just spectacular. Still giddy. Overall it was pretty good, nothing revolutionary but had fun. Love the mid credits scene. Love Zendaya. Gyllenhaal was incredible.

So many of these high school movies don’t make you care about any of the characters outside of the main guy or girl (a ton can’t even do that) but I thought Booksmart gave time and scenes to do it with at least 10 of em. What a great job by the writer, actors and from Olivia Wilde.

    1) Taron can sing
    2) Bohemian Rhapsody being nominated for Best Picture is even more of an abomination and Rami winning a Best Actor Oscar is even more unforgivable
    3) the two old bags behind me when the movie ended: “well, we’ll never see that Taron again”

Next time you watch this, during the Mike Tyson scene look how many different positions Tyson’s lil white frenchie is in while in his arms. So many cuts lolol

It drags for like 12 minutes. Other than that, it perfect.

I had fun with Arabian Hitch (it even had the soul train line during the credits!!). The #jams scene was the funniest 5 minutes I’ve had in a movie in a long time. And Will Smith was really really great.

I really liked Mena as Aladdin and Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine too but it was just kinda wonky overall: some of the edits were clunky, I didn’t understand the fast forward on all the dancing and singing, it was a little too long, and unfortunately it lost steam everytime Jafar wasn’t yelling.

    But again, jams.

Centineo is young Ralph Macchio. Literally the same voice/hair/skintone/acting ability/look as Daniel LaRusso.

Particularly love the first 20 minutes. Haden Church had me hysterical. Even for a total non-wine drinker, every adjective Giamatti threw out made me want to go to Cali.
