On paper, the plot of Dial M for Murder is enough to send filmgoers of all ages through all the motions. But nobody quite brings these stories alive like Hitchcock, with his poetic beats and fucking insane blocking. You'll forgive the weird looking sets outside the bottle because inside lies a gem to be adored.
I think North by Northwest is my least favourite Hitchcock movie of all I've seen because I don't seem to remember the feel of the blocking and camera in the conversations, only in the crop duster scene. And I like my hitchcock with meaty dialogue.
Dope movie, go watch it.
