A calculated miracle. The determined urge to persevere until all resources have been exhausted. Thorough logistical planning, engineering, and compassion became the willpower which was initially sparked from pure benevolence. I was emotionally moved by this, to say the least. None of the self-sacrificial commitments go unnoticed in this documentary. You can feel the anxious responsibility projected onto the cave divers especially; they flew into Thailand mostly because of their awareness that they’re the only few people in the world who have honed the skills of such an audacious hobby. There’s so much weight to this story, and the meticulous editing between the raw footage and reenactment scenes never takes you away from the realism where time is the enemy.
