never has a film triggered my fight or flight response more often than this. truly one of the most confusing and sinister creations to ever grace the film medium, so much so you can’t help but question what exists within the mind of its creators. plenty of little things here that definitely warrant a rewatch, i’d love to get a closer look at that first frame & the tapestry story in hindsight.
florence pugh’s performance is astonishing. whatever ari aster does to evoke such blood curdling screams from his actors is probably something i’m better off not knowing.
