Matt DeTurck’s review published on Letterboxd:
I really liked a lot of PIECES of this, but felt like it never congealed, satisfyingly. Like, it's cute ENOUGH, and the chemistry is there ENOUGH, but much of it felt cold, flat, or forced.
That said, the cast is STACKED with highly watchable actors (James Saito is absolutely delightful as Marcus' charming Dad). I liked it all in theory, I just wish the characters had a better, more consistently funny script (especially disappointing since leads Ali Wong and Randall Park are credited as 2 of the 3 writers).
