Matt DeTurck’s review published on Letterboxd:
My god is this INSANE: rainbow-garish, and so stupidly entertaining as a “terrible” film. Hopefully more people will eventually come around that this is a camp classic.
Did I first see this in a theatre? VHS? DVD? I dont remember because my brain clearly wasn’t ready for it at the time. All I remember is feeling disappointed. And taken as a straightforward film, I totally see that.
But now! Mentally framed as the most expensive b-movie ever made, with monsters, mad scientists, rocket ships, overacting that chews the scenery to pulp, non-stop puns, and a glow-in-the-dark plastic rollercoaster aesthetic... it’s a lot of gaudy, stupid fun.
