Disclaimer: From this franchise, I've only seen Bride of Chucky
I really enjoyed this! Beautifully shot, a great score, and fun modernization on the very base murderous-doll idea. It's also really well-acted, across the board: Brian Tyree Henry find a good balance with the wealth of moods and lines he tackles, and I always love Aubrey Plaza (and she's playing close to type, here).
Adam liked it less that I did, at the tail-end of his Chucky-binge.
Also the doll design is fucking terrifying, right from the get-go, holy shit.
