Shocked that this lived up to the hype. What a fun, silly little film. The plot isn't anything revolutionary, but the performances sell it, and it's got big emotions that pulled me in to the romance and the dancing. Glad to have seen an original film print of it, which really showed off the beautiful locations.
Why "I carried a watermelon" isn't the major takeaway line from the film, though, I'll never understand.
