Matt DeTurck’s review published on Letterboxd :
Fantastic ensemble (both the acting + the casting), interesting, relatable, and with lots of memorable small vignettes, funny lines, poignancy, and sadness... Yet, strangely, somehow, it left me cold.
On paper it should've been right up my alley, and it ticked a lot of boxes: coming-of-age, strong female lead, witty dialogue, and Saoirse Ronan is amazing (as always!). I'm not entirely sure why, but it just didn't hit me right. Maybe it's my intense dislike of Dave Matthews Band? :: shrugs ::
It did, however, make me want to rewatch the wonderful "The Edge of Seventeen."
