Found this on Youtube and my love of sci-fi B movies meant I had to watch it, especially since Robert Heinlein has co-writing credit. The science isn't too bad for the 50's. The portrayal of the female astronaut made me utter the words "oh my god" more than once.

Stoker is as refreshing as it is chilling. It has a slower pace than most mystery-thrillers, but instead of being boring there's an almost inexorable feeling something horrible is about to happen. The end, for me, was at first surprising then perfectly logical. It's also immensely emotionally satisfying, but I'm not sure how I feel about that! Mia Wasikowska and Matthew Goode give excellent performances.

This movie left me baffled. Centered on a young woman model trying to become a celebrity, there's also a man who is seemingly obsessed and stalking her. Then something happens that takes the obsession in a different direction, and had me intrigued. Sadly, instead of going someplace interesting it was just confusing. I won't spoil what it is because it was the only thing that prevented me from falling asleep. Since this is a Japanese subtitled film, I thought perhaps I'd missed something and Googled some other reviews. I'm not alone in my confusion or boredom.

Complete fluff and nothing remarkable. Some great talent, nearly everyone was on their game and there were some laughs. A nice little forgettable watch.
