taron egerton gave an amazing performance as elton john he deserves an oscar nomination imo but i might be biased lmao. jamie bell & richard madden also gave noteworthy performances. rocketman very whimsical with its big dance numbers, musical style like staging and choreography! ( my favorite being Saturday night’s alright (for fighting) )but it’s also realistic, showing the struggles elton john went through such as the drugs, alchohol and the man that was john reid + it doesn’t portray his homosexuality as “evil” so i think we won folks. i did have some two issues though; dialogue felt forced at some points & very was very fast paced but that is all i can think of for now. can’t wait to rewatch when it hits general release and see how i feel about it after a second watch.
