Daniel Cruse’s review published on Letterboxd:
This week I came home for the holiday break and noticed that our lovely little single screen art house theater was showing this movie so despite the fact that I just watched it, I was thrilled to see it on the big screen again with some friends.
I still love the day in the life snapshot of late 60’s Hollywood we are given with this film, and even with the nearly 3 hour runtime I’ve yet to find myself bored by this movie. It’s funny and charming, the performances are so strong, and the soundtrack kicks so much ass.
Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood is not my favorite Tarantino film but honestly after watching the Blu-ray and seeing it again in theaters, it’s one that I feel I could see over and over again without growing tired of it. It’s such a fun movie and I really just get a kick out of it.
