Daniel Cruse’s review published on Letterboxd:
Still love it. Such a fun hangout movie. I put it on while cleaning the apartment and about halfway through I just had to sit down and enjoy it without distractions.
I understand the validity of critics who look at movies like this or Nolan’s Tenet and consider them too self indulgent but when I like a director’s work as much as I do both of those guys, I don’t mind taking the good and the bad when it comes to what I would argue are their biggest, most ambitious undertakings.
It’s a great rewatch, the soundtrack kicks ass, the cast is killer, and I adore the tribute to Golden Era Hollywood. If I were asked with a gun to my head what Tarantino’s best movie was, I don’t think I’d say this one but it is my favorite nevertheless.
