Daniel Cruse’s review published on Letterboxd:
This trilogy is very good relative to the standards of Netflix’s teenage target demo films. Lana Condor will hopefully get a lot more work because she’s delightful in all of these movies.
I enjoyed this one much more than the second, and I thought it handled some pretty big ideas in a mature way. It’s also just nice to have a story that is so lacking in cynicism or bitterness. It’s sweet and fun to watch.
I get if this isn’t your thing, I’m certainly not the target demographic for these movies either but if you’re looking for a movie like this on Netflix, you can do a lot worse.
