That was the most rhythmic, primal, and violent revenge movie I've ever seen. With a soundtrack that echoes deep into the mountainous settings, and cinematography that accentuates the beauty of the area, this movie is a work of art.
Honestly, I have no good words for the blood-soaked, heart-racing, drum-pounding anger that underpins this whole story. It's just good cinema, and it's sad that movies like this don't get shown more widely.
Had some good ideas, but never really paid off on them. I hesitate to call it a horror, simply because it never really went there. It did create one of the most accurate vibes of lonely teens and young adults perpetually on the internet, but that's all it really did. Looking forward to seeing more from Jane Schoenbrun, hopefully will go further next time.
