For the longest time, I thought this was middle of the road Disney...

I was wrong. 'The Emperor's New Groove' is a super entertaining entry into the Disney canon. One that's not afraid to embrace its cartoony roots and defy all logic. The film doesn't hold back, and it's all the better for it; there's also a solid emotional hook too, not something that's going to rip your heart out but there's somewhat of a reflection involved in the watching of it. I like that. As funny and re-watchable as 'The Emperor's New Groove' is, it's also sincere and truthful.
