And So We Put Goldfish in the Pool. 2017

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

There is a so much that's conveyed in this all packed into a 30-ish minute span of time.

Makoto Nagahisa knew exactly what tone to go with for this story, and it's easily the best part of the entire thing. Accompanied by the music, dialogue, and cinematography, this can often times be a pretty jarring experience. You'll have these rapid fire shots that play one after the other, all visually pleasing in their own way, but it's all enough to…

Where the heck was Morbius? They made a whole movie about this "doctor strange" guy, like, who cares? is doctor strange a marvel legend? I DON'T THINK SO!

As far as movies go I think this is right down the middle. As far as directing debuts go, I think it’s impressive. Bj Novak playing the lead and reacting to the “wisdom” of the other characters who are reading dialogue he wrote is pretty goofy

We can gather from the opening that fairies reproduce asexually. However, they obviously come in two sexes, and they also have sex drive as evidenced by Bobble’s reaction to Tinker Bell’s shapely dress. Therefore, fairy sex is, canonically, purely recreational.

Very hokey and dumb.  Feels really drawn out for something so short.  My favorite part was when a man told his daughter in a very bad voice over that he was the school principal as if she wouldn’t know that.  Fun to watch for the old school movie making, but not a particularly great movie.  Really dumb red scare stuff too.

unreal. had all of my favorite things- serial killings, hiding from the police, boymoding, head shaving, good dads, bad dads, pregnancy oriented body horror, homoerotic firefighters. pressed all my brain buttons. crushingly, some scenes were so uncomfortable that it caused me to clench my muscles so hard it gave me a cramp and i had to mute myself on the call with my boyfriend who was watching it with me, so, for that, half star.
