“Adonis, I know you never met your father. But if he was here tonight, what would you wanna say to him?”

“I’ll just tell him that I love him and I know he didn’t leave me on purpose. And I’m proud to be a Creed.”

Damn it. I cry every time I watch Creed, but this time was different. This is just one of those movies where I can genuinely connect with most of the themes being tackled on a…

The Batman has been my most anticipated movie of the year and, as with every other film I’ve seen from Matt Reeves, it delivered on every mark. I got major Batman: Year One vibes throughout, and I definitely think that story fits what Reeves was trying to accomplish here. This young, imperfect, revenge-driven Batman that Robert Pattinson embodies so well was a breath of fresh air in a landscape where superhero films don’t seem to focus on character as much…

I will say, this one doesn’t hold back on gore and keeps a very unnerving tone from start to finish. I’m a sucker for that stuff.

The consistent feeling of dread throughout the story, whether subtle or in your face, certainly worked for me and left me wanting to watch Hereditary for a third time. That alone makes this worth seeing again soon.

Also, John Lithgow is awesome. Just wanted to put that out there for anyone that wasn’t already aware.

This was my third viewing. I watched it on my phone this time. I cried some and had to hold back more tears so my family wouldn’t notice me sobbing in front of my phone.

I still can’t quite put my finger on which part of me loves this film so much, but trying to understand and explain it in a review won’t do my thoughts any good. I’m afraid that would only lessen the true extent to which they reach.

I’ll just put it this way: I’ll probably be watching this again tomorrow and the next day and so on.
