Jesus quite a dark opening, but it is a kid’s movie from the 80s I guess

These kids have a great dynamic! Funny, adorable, all the good words!

I feel bad because I was Chunk when I was a kid :(

    El Muerto???

Wow Corey Feldman was in both this and Stand By Me, he was really dominating the kids on bikes coming of age adventure genre!

After the intro action sequence the first act really drags. Really needed a couple more action scenes interspersed to cut up the pacing.

THE COMPANY IS CALLED DIE-NOW LMAO

The “Fucking liberals” speech wasn’t in the script, Mel Gibson was just ranting and Joe Carnahan started rolling

Gotta end a time loop movie like this by raising the stakes that “there’s no coming back if you die this time”

“You just assume he wins I guess” -my mom; yeah, that’s not an ending!

Just realized earlier today that if Marvel is smart and sentimental (and I know they are) they’ll kill Steve Rogers by him diving on a grenade/some other type of explosive device. (To mirror the scene in The First Avenger when he dove on Tommy Lee Jones’ dummy grenade back when he was still skinny, and to reflect how much of a true hero he’s always been.) I am not and will never be even remotely close to emotionally ready for that

Edit: we’ll probably get a final “I could do this all day” too

And Bucky Barnes will make a great new Captain America.

Recently I’ve received some criticism that I’m too generous with 5 star ratings on Letterboxd. To self diagnose for a second, I honestly think it’s because I hear good press about a movie, I go in wanting to like it (because I like movies! And I like liking movies!), and most of the time I do because I either got pretty much what I was expecting, or I was pleasantly surprised. And if a movie can either deliver on good…
