do you know how hard it is to sit at work with the entire shrek soundtrack running through your head ALL DAY?!?! I’ll be on figma, fixing something on photoshop, sitting on client meetings, and all i can think about is “I! BELIEVE! I! BELIEVE! I! BELIEVE! I! BELIEVE! IM A BELIEVERRR!!” ALL DAY BRUH!
and now i’m gonna be cursed with FUNKY TOWN, HOLDING OUT FOR A HERO, & LIVIN LA VIDA LOCA?!?!?! I physically cannot do this my brain is gonna be fried by the time i get to shrek 3
although not as complex as the 2nd in the series, WAR still holds up very well as the finale in the trilogy.
what the 2nd movie (DAWN) accomplishes that the others don’t is the constant stress of “what side do i root for?” You find reasons to both root for and against the humans and the apes, which makes the whole movie a stressful, entertaining film. WAR simplifies it to only root for the apes and we view the humans…

The first hour of this was one of the best beginnings of a movie i’ve ever seen ever. Unfortunately there was 2 hours left that derailed it all. You could say you hate this film or love it and i would be cool with either.
edit: it’s been like 3 weeks since i’ve seen this and the soundtrack is still stuck in my head.
voodoo mama on spotify is a heater. would strongly recommend you watch this and form your own opinion
