Certain moments in Dead Men Tell No Tales are not lacking in creativity. The first action sequence - if you exclude Salazar's introduction, involves Captain Jack Sparrow robbing a bank. The premise of it has an amusing punchline, and looked mildly entertaining, but it's dotted with irksome and forced comedy via Depp. His character has now, generally speaking, become a parody of itself and really it was mostly cringe-worthy to say the least.
