Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back - Evolution

    ★★

The idea of this film makes me happy yeah. But it is so flawed in it's execution.
    The animation is strange
    The voices are bad
    The dubbing is horrible
    The fights are boring
The story is exactly the same
    This never warrants its existence
How is there lag, this isn't a video game?

Except for some doses of nostalgia this is a pretty bad excuse for a film, even compared to some of the trash that is the Pokemon film franchise.

This is probably the best version of this story we’re ever gonna get, which is a bit sad cause even this I find a bit dry. This is the murder mystery and it’s bound to be retold again someday, and I hope that version becomes the best version of it.

Every encounter now, since I saw Knives Out, the like “I suspect foul play” gets uttered by me at least twice.

This cannot be put into words.

    Experiences like these... I mean.

Speechless doesn’t begin to cover it.

    Here comes the completely-out-of-the-blue-really-unexpected-best-animated-film-of-the-year-MAN!!

(I sat for too long trying to come up with a finale to my little parody song, and that's the best I came up with.) Alright enough playing around, lets get on with the review.

I remember back on a time when I heard about this, called it a cheap cash grab by Sony Animation, which…

That may just have been the greatest film I have ever seen. I'm not one to play around and toss titles like that around, but after witnessing what a decades worth of storytelling can pull off... well what else can I say?

Endgame is the premiere example of what can happen when you take the time to build up so many incredible characters to a point where all of them deserve all the time in the film, but somehow have…
