Wow. Absolutely loved this. McAvoy was fascinating. Taylor-Joy great. But Betty Buckley was truly valuable to this whole story and performance.
This is a funny, heart warming late coming of age film with Sally Fields doing an amazing job. Doris is an introverted hoarder recovering from the loss of her mother whom she's cared for her during her entire adult life. Now she's given the chance to branch out, try new things, and it's all triggered by a new younger guy at work. While the story could be creepy if the sexes of the main characters were reversed, this is directed as endearing.
