Definitely better the second time: there's a difference between knowing what's going to happen and knowing that you know what's going to happen.
I think I liked this version more than the theatrical cut? It's not drastically different, but making several scenes even just a few seconds longer gives the narrative some needed room to breathe. The one major addition is a crucial emotional beat for Christian and Dani — I'm not sure if I'd want to watch the film without it again.
