Hey Marty, see it’s okay. You can retire now.
Judas and the Black Messiah is excellent film. Complex. Character driven. Layered. Cinematic. Thoughtful. Artistic and Commercial. It’s everything you’d want to see in a movie. It’s a wonderful film that talks about important ideas while never feeling like that’s the only thing on its mind. This is surely the first of many viewings.
Also, we don’t deserve Daniel Kaluuya. He’s truly as once in a generation talent. Like seriously on the level of Daniel Day-Lewis, Denzel Washington, Marlon Brando, and Laurence Olivier. He’s something truly special. I can’t wait to see what he does next.
