This is a pretty damn good film that lets itself just go and it’s rare you get such a purely executed and unbridled version of a story. It’s so well made even if the result is a ridiculous and almost unwatchable length. But in an era where we binge shows, a four hour movie to watch at home doesn’t seem as insane as it used to. I’d love a chance to see this in IMAX but wouldn’t dare attempt it. I’d be asleep half way through.
Such a gripping tale of youth, maturity, power and culture. I was sucked in from the very beginning. The young actors in this film are all excellent, even though they are essentially just playing young twats. I picked up a lot of swearing from this film, so that's cool too.
Anyway, it's a depressing tale, but a tale worth watching.
