First thoughts: it’s not much of a film but I liked it as a slasher and Michael Myers is at his most savage here. This Michael even makes the Rob Zombie version look tame. I love the look, the mask, and the walk and how methodically efficient he is as a killing machine. He’s absolutely ruthless here and the kills and gore are top notch. There are some moments in this that are going to go down as iconic for…
Sheesh. This movie is a mess. It has a 137 minute run time and feels like a total rush job. The characters aren't fleshed out at all and if I hadn't listened to the book over the past year, I probably wouldn't have had any clue what was going on. I don't care about anything that happens in Dune and I had no emotional attachment to any character.

It’s a true marvel in the marriage of my two favorite art forms: cinema and music. I spent the first half of the film smiling uncontrollably as Lady Gaga’s character Ally is taken under rock star Jackson Maine’s…
This movie is more of a 6 to me, but I'm bumping it up to a light 7 simply on the strength of the last 30 minutes or so which I thought were awesome. I wouldn't say Malignant is particularly scary, but it's chilling enough to satisfy most horror fans and that action/horror finale is worth the wait.
7/10 (Highly Enjoyable)
