Pitch Perfect 3 is the Cars 2 of the Pitch Perfect franchise, but bad. It didn’t have Finn McMissile.

While certainly the most funny Toy Story movie, throughout its 100 minute runtime it fails to justify its existence.

It’s not Pixar’s best, but Soul is a fun, funny and entertaining film with a bittersweet ending that left me with a smile on my face.

    Shazam!

    ★★★★½

Childish, energetic, hilarious, and witty: everything you would expect from a Shazam movie and a great cast to deliver it, with the standouts being Zachary Levi as Shazam and Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman. The CGI could have been more polished. The tone jumps around a bit but it isn’t distracting enough to detract from the experience.

    Flushed Away

Great voice acting, great world-building, amazing animation and a great and original story. Expected nothing less from Aardman and Dreamworks.

  • Batman: Hush

    Batman: Hush

Batman Hush has very good action, good character design and a fairly good story, but left a huge amount to be desired. It didn’t really tread any new water which I thought it was going to do because the Hush comic is meant to be amazing and I went in, for some reason, unbeknown to me, that the animation was going to be different from the usual DCAMU (DC Animated Movie Universe) animation. Do not go in expecting Batman Hush.

Maze runner is a pretty interesting movie, if you haven’t read the book, like me. The performances are all okay, everyone does their part well. They all bounce off each other in their own unique way. Gally, though is a bit weird, like I understand where he’s coming from but you think after, I think years in the maze, you would be open to…

How to Train Your Dragon 2 is okay. I really don’t have strong feelings about these movies so far. I just think they’re perfectly fine entertainment but nothing special.

First of all I think it would have been better if they didn’t spoil that Hiccup’s Mum was alive in the trailer. I don’t see why they did that.

The start of the moving was…

  • Captain Marvel

    Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel is evidence of what happens when an MCU origin movie doesn’t have a great charismatic lead. Brie Larson does a fine job but looks uninterested in about every shot which I understand is the character but it just doesn’t land. It’s boring but it can be entertaining at some points and Samuel L. Jackson is fantastic as usual. The villain’s not great either with the final fight being played for laughs when it should have been climactic. The movie’s biggest crime is wasting Fury’s line from Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

IT is a horror movie based on the Stephen King novel It, who would have guessed. Now I haven’t read the novel so do with that information what you will. But anyway let’s float right in.

The opening cellar scene does a very good job of building suspense. Bloody hell. My heart was in my mouth. There is a lot of really impressive cinematography…
