  Incredible how the Internet's formerly bold "hot take" of this movie being overrated due to its fairly simple story has ended up so thoroughly defining its reputation within the social consciousness over the years since its release that it's inevitably circled back around to being quite underrated when revisiting it now all these years later.

  Calling it now - this one's going to be about Thor and Quill putting aside their differences and working together to take on Adam Warlock: a new enemy that's more blonde, more ripped, and more handsome than either of them individually. His mere existence poses a threat to their own as no such being could possibly exist (at least in their minds anyway), throwing each of them into a complete disarray of identity crises and existential turmoil, naturally.

  Essentially a revamp of a lot of same ideas part 4 had going on but with a cast of mostly charismatic and likeable newcomers (and the franchise mainstays in decent supporting roles) to make the proceedings tolerable, plus some gnarly kills to boot.
