  The quintessential Christmas movie in our household as I was growing up. Macaulay Culkin is chock-full of charisma without teetering on the obnoxious or unlikeable, but I have to say it's the hilarious double act of Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern as the calamitous "Wet Bandits" that get most of the laughs.   Even if you remove Robert Forster, who is as strong a lead as one could possibly imagine, you’re still left with a smart, funny, and surprisingly convincing creature feature that managed to pull off the challenging illusion of having a fifteen-or-so foot Alligator roaming the streets of Chicago.
