Aaron’s review published on Letterboxd:
The only bad thing I can possibly say is that it's long, there's at least 2 movies in this, but I also had covid while watching it so my attention span was low.
Otherwise it was incredible. The action scenes were unashamedly bonkers, full of moments that were badass for the pure sake of being badass.
But not a single action scene stood alone as an action scene. There were plenty of strong themes and emotional stakes. Every fight had moments that existed to be more than just "fuckin' sick".
And there's a dance off that is just as effective and wild and story driven as any of the other action scenes.
I wish I had seen this with a packed theater, I'm sure it would have been a blast.
