Going to watch a segment per lunch break-

    1. Damn I love Tim Blake Nelson and those trick shots..wow! Woohoo Krumholtz! Felt certain in the moment that that was Jack Black as Clancy Brown's brother! And I also stupidly thought for a sec that was Val Kilmer that done him in...

    2. That was good, not as great as the first but Stephen Root is always great value and James Franco is almost 127 Hours-ing here.

    3. Love the contrast…

It's amazing the films you wouldn't know existed if it weren't for Blank Check or Letterboxd. Thanks Griffin and David for highlighting this gem and Elaine May in general!

Brilliantly funny film, I think I was expecting more from the ending but it really worked.

    - What If Tony Stark was played by Walter Matthau with Cary Grant's accent and wasn't clever or horny and lost all the money?

Slow to get into but really warmed to it in the end.

A frustating but also frustrated character who's actually exciting to watch. I wish her final scene with Wiig's character had gone on longer but I enjoyed all the interactions and might enjoy this one more on a rewatch sometime.

In this film 2 Friends is not a competitive advantage*.

I could not get with this really, there were some scenes that play well individually but I couldn't get into the characters at all, I think you need a proper mystery for this kind of storytelling device to work.

*apologies for the Blank Check joke

    So real.

I don't think I'm ever going to be able to comprehend thinking about those kind of sums of money...

Thoughts - I know The Money Pit off by heart, that put an early grin on my face that should've been a warning sign.

On the verge of tears in so many random scenes, even in Alan Alda being stopped dead during an anecdote.

Wallace Shawn's appearance is also a false sense of security blanket...
