Dave Horwitz’s review published on Letterboxd:
What if Goodfellas but for babies?
Also, I listened to the Russo Brothers on a podcast today talking about how they made this movie specifically for Gen Z because of their closeness to the opioid epidemic and their highly advanced visual palate/language and sense of aesthetics (paraphrasing but that’s the gist) and the interviewer asked them if they consulted their Gen Z kids at all in the development and execution of it and they. Said. No. And boy does it show.
Hey Russos, Gen Z doesn’t want a shot that looks like the Mannequin Challenge/a bunch of sub-Garden State slo-mo. At least I don’t think they do, they won’t talk to me.
