  Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One 2023

  Not bad, but a step below the last three MI movies. Didn't feel like it had the requisite show-stopping set piece. A few really wonky scenes and characters delivering exposition beat by beat as if reading from cue cards. And Tom Cruise is finally starting to look like a ghoul. Nothing to love here whatsoever, but not bad. The Marvel alien girl felt like she'd been created by a nine year old with bad parents.

  Way better than I was expecting it to be. The true underrated "Werewolf" movie of 1981 - forget about the Howling. More visual work at play here than I would have expected. Albert Finney comes off like an Ikea dresser impersonating a human, though.
