i don't even know if i should rate this because i'll admit i was really paying close attention to it. i feel bad because i got pretty bored halfway through, my mind was wandering during the entire second half because i just wasn't interested. i've seen the ending monologue dozens of times before (and love it) so the second half was basically just me wanting the film to hurry up so i could watch it again.
i feel almost guilty giving this such a low rating as it's received universal acclaim & i was looking so forward to seeing this but it was such a let down :(((. to sorta paraphrase another letterboxd user who i saw gave this a poor rating, this film is so preoccupied in making each shot look perfect that there's literally no story and it just feels extremely boring and stale. the camerawork will impress you to begin with but it's honestly…
