  Never before has a cinema experience left me speechless as much as The Northman, the third movie from Robert Eggers. Needless to say, this is a masterpiece. His viking revenge epic was a joy to watch and now I will be anxiously awaiting a blu ray release.

  Satire is tricky to do in screenplays with few hitting the mark. Some of the best include that from Paddy Chayefsky (Network, 1976) and Sarah DeLappe (Bodies Bodies Bodies, 2022). For his English language film debut, Swedish filmmaker Ruben Östlund decided to combine elements of his two previous films: the dark comedy of Force Majeure (2014) and the satirical edge of The Square (2017).
