I guess there isn’t much I can say that hasn’t been said already.
Police Story is one of the best action movies ever made.
Stunts - 100/100 | The mall sequence has to be seen to be believed. Jackie Chan’s tight direction allows for the action to take the center of your attention in a relentless ride through an insane theme park-like setpiece made of jaw-dropping action and stunt work.
Narrative - 74/100 | Definitely the worst part of the movie simply by virtue of being so uninteresting compared to the rest. The middle part in particular has a few boring scenes and a few instances of casual sexism.
Fight Choreography - 95/100 | The only, ONLY downside to the fights in this movie is that there aren’t enough of them.
Enjoyment - 86/100 | A surprising role for Brigitte Lin who’s known for playing stoic gender-bending badasses. Watch with friends, preferably with alcohol if you drink, and cheer at Jackie Chan trying out dozens of imaginative ways to kill himself for your viewing pleasure.
