Vintage Gene Tierney! Solid noir. And Vincent Price without a mustache!! And yet Laura doesn't rank in my Top 3 favorite Tierney films?! Guess cause she was always taking on fantastic films roles so it was hard to nail down just one.

For the uninitiated, Leave Her to Heaven, Rings on Her Fingers and the Ghost and Mrs. Muir are my Top 3. And an honorable mention for Whirlpool.

    Bad Boys II

    ★★★

My takeaway from this film is that it runs about 30 minutes too long. Typical of Michael Bay movies. But it has some real entertaining scenes and some solid buddy-buddy wisecracking so it's worth a watch. I especially enjoyed the opening act where the Bad Boys tangle with the KKK, and the glorious extended car chase scene where about twenty cars get demolished, including a boat, all the while Lowery yelling at Marcus who kept screwing up.

And thankfully Bay was wise enough to not include the always annoying Tea Leoni in this sequel. Gabby Union was defo the better choice.

One of my Top 5 favorite movies. I watched it a total of EIGHT times in theaters. Magnificent on a grand scale with a great (and gorgeous) lead cast, dynamic action scenes, solid storyline that blends fantasy with reality, and an awesome soundtrack. The most fun I've had at the movies in quite some time!

Went into Serenity not knowing what to expect. Only that it was a
sci-fi adventure written and directed by Joss Whedon, the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer among other tv shows. Including a short-lived fourteen episode season of Firefly, which I hadn't seen but heard that this was what Serenity was based upon.

Well the movie was rock solid -- enjoyable story; pirate adventure in space; the dreaded Reavers; captain Mal Reynolds in Han Solo form; the girl named…
