Exodus was one of the more mixed bags of 2014. It had its good: some visually stunning landscape VFX shots and cinematography, some directorial choices involving Moses' story, and a great cast. Then there's its bad: slow pace, weak writing, and something lacking in the 'epic' department. In a story as grand and massive in scale as Moses', I was a bit disappointed that some of the scenes were anticlimactic. Also the promise of Moses to being portrayed as a warrior-fighter wasn't entirely fulfilled, as battle sequences were short and scarce. Overall, it wasn't a bad movie, but it should've been much better, especially coming from Sir ridley Scott.
